With an item upgrader, you can get many bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be used on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to boost the capabilities of the character, or can add an additional element of variety to an existing build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to upgrade the quality of their gear by paying currencies at an item upgrader NPC. This system first came into play in Mists of Pandaria, and continued with Warlords of Draenor. It's a great way to increase the quality of your equipment, allowing you to avoid the tedious grind of questing and avoiding many wipes in Mythic+ dungeons.
When an item is upgraded, its base type changes. When upgrading a normal item, it creates an Exceptional item while upgrading an Exceptional item will create an Elite version of the base item. The item will keep its pre-upgrade stats, and will receive an additional bonus from its new base type. This bonus is randomly selected. item upgrading could be a weapon with an increased damage range, an increased reloading speed, or an increased max defense roll.
The amount of extras you can get by upgrading is contingent on the amount of upgrades done. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by up to 3 points. Additionally, every upgrade will also boost the main stat by one.
Some upgrades also give you an additional random boost in addition to stat enhancements. These boosts are useful and should be taken into consideration when deciding on which items to upgrade. Certain boosts can only be used in certain designs (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) While others are beneficial to collectors.
Some items come with built-in boos that is not useful when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap provides extra slots for potion. These are often upp'd to add value to the perfect or nearly perfect item.
Costs
Upgrades come with some associated costs. The first is the upgrade itself. This cost depends on the new level of the item and the amount of perks it gains, and can be expensive. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).
The other is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The quantity of these items required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take up to 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the new ilvl of the item bonus, perks, as well as other properties. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other important stats. In some cases, the upgrade will grant additional advantages that can be picked from a variety of advantages.
In rare instances the upgrade will only replace the most expensive benefits. Sometimes, the upgrader will make other modifications to an item, for example, changing its weapon damage type or removing or adding an operative or unwieldy property. The cost for these changes is based on the new ilvl of the item, and it could require a specific material, such as the adamantine alloy.

Success Rate
Item upgrades are based on a chance, and like every random system, there's a chance that the upgrade will fail. There are a few ways to increase your chances of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or the addition additional components to your upgrade.
The Upgrade Pity is available from the NPC for crafting in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade being successful by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that certain items provide however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is used three times.
You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. The materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.
A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version of it can be used to increase the odds of a successful upgrade. This item is helpful if you have an item of gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without having to worry about breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its original state. This is usually an error, but it could also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade for when you are close to the maximum capacity of an item, and then use it as an option last resort.
There are many items in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the odds of an upgrade succeeding. You can increase the chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. Similarly, enhancing the chance to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the success rate.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for items allows players to add a second slot to their equipment. These slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enchantment. However, it is important to remember that not all items can be upgraded. The rate of upgrade and enchantment is dependent on the rank of the item. The higher the rank of an item is, the more Zeny items will be required to upgrade it.
This system is costly particularly if you are seeking top-of-the-line equipment. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost up to 100,000 Z or 100 Carnium. As you progress in rank, the success rate decreases. item upgrading can increase the chances of upgrading an item using cash shop items.
Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be carried out on weapons, armor pieces and bikes. It consumes different grades of core, depending on the kind of item. Most commonly, lower grade items will require lower grade cores while items with higher quality will require higher priced ones.
To perform an upgrade that is normal, you must first have the appropriate number of cores. Once you have them click the button next to the item you want to upgrade. The upgrade window will then display a percent indicator of your odds of success. The percentage is based on the level of upgrade and the core type of the item you have selected.
You can also choose an item with a safeguard which will safeguard the item in case of failure. The safeguard is not free however it will cost less than purchasing a new item. The protection can be used once per upgrade, and is not a valid expiry date unless it is re-used.
The interface for the item upgrader could be somewhat confusing, but it is not difficult to navigate. The main menu appears on the left and the upgrade window is on the right. The arrows on the left of the UI indicate the different stages during the upgrade process. Click the question mark icon to seek help if you are unsure what you're doing. The upgrade could take five minutes.
